- 4 sliced flank steaks
- mustard
- pepper
- 1 large onion, diced
- flour and water for thickening
- 2 c. (1 liter) water
- salt
- 12 oz. bacon, diced
- 1 stick butter or margarine
Directions

1Lightly pound steaks.

2Streak mustard on steak, adding salt and pepper.

3Dice onion and bacon and mix together.

4Add equal amounts to each steak, spreading evenly.

5Start with the smaller end, roll the steak forward and fasten with a clamp or a string. Brown evenly using butter or margarine.

6Add 2 cups (1/2 liter) water; cover and bake in moderate oven (325° to 350°) for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

7Thicken with flour and water to which a little salt is added.
