  • 1 package Yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3/4 cups Light rum, divided
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar

    Preheat oven to 325

    Grease and flour bundt pan

    Mix oil, eggs, 1/2 cup rum, and 1/2 cup water in large bowl. Add cake mix and beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes.

    Bake for 50-60 minutes

    Combine butter, sugar, 1/4 cup rum, and 1/4 cup water and bring to boil for 2 minutes

    Pour over cake while still hot. Let cool in pan for 20 minutes then invert onto cake plate.

    *Optional -- sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts over bottom of pan before adding batter
