- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. caraway seed
- 2 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. rye flour
Directions

1Combine flour, yeast and caraway seed.

2Stir together water, brown sugar, cooking oil and salt in separate bowl.

3Add flour mixture.

4Beat at low speed.

5Then beat 3 minutes at high speed. Stir in rye flour and as much all-purpose flour as you can mix in with a spoon.

6Flour surface and knead dough, adding flour to make a stiff dough.

7Cover and let rise in warm place.

8Punch down and divide in half.

9Cover; let rise 10 minutes.

10Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
