Salmon Divan

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 3/4 c. half and half
  • 1 Tbsp. sherry
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli spears, cooked and drained
  • 1 (6 1/2 oz.) can pink salmon, drained
  • paprika to taste
  • 1/4 c. toasted sliced almonds

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    In medium saucepan, over low heat, melt butter.

    Blend in flour, onion powder and sugar.

    Mix until smooth. Cook and stir 1 minute.

    Remove from heat.

    Gradually add half and half, stirring until smooth with each addition.

    Cook and stir over medium to high heat until sauce just comes to a boil and is thickened.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in sherry.
