Salmon Fondue

  • 5 slices bread, crusts removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can red salmon
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • salt
  • 1/4 c. grated cheese

Directions

    Heat milk in double boiler; add bread, butter and liquid from salmon.

    Add beaten egg yolks and salt; cook until thick.

    Add cheese.

    Cool and add salmon.

    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.

    Bake in buttered dish.

    Place dish in pan of water and bake 1 hour at 350°.
