Ingredients

  • 8 c. ripe tomatoes
  • 3 to 4 c. green peppers, chopped
  • 1 to 2 c. hot peppers, chopped
  • 2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 to 10 dashes Snappy Tom or Texas Pete hot sauce (depending on degree of spiciness desired)
  • 1 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/4 c. catsup

Directions

    Bring all ingredients to boil and simmer at least 30 minutes (3 to 4 hours in slow cooker).

    Process in sterilized pint and 1/2 pint jars in hot water bath for 30 minutes.

    Yields 8 pints.
