  • 2 lb. bulk pork sausage
  • 4 c. water
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans pinto beans, undrained (Lucks)
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Brown sausage in a Dutch oven, stirring to crumble.

    Drain off drippings.

    Stir in the remaining ingredients.

    Bring to a boil. Remove bay leaf before serving.
