Scalloped Cabbage

  • 1/2 head cabbage (about 1 1/2 lb.)
  • 1 c. white sauce
  • 1/2 c. cheese grated or cut into small pieces
  • buttered bread crumbs

Directions

    Cook the pieces of cabbage in boiling salt water for 5 to 7 minutes.

    Drain the water from cabbage.

    In buttered baking dish, layer cabbage and white sauce.

    Put bread crumbs on top and dot with butter.

    Top with cheese.

    Bake at 400° until crumbs are brown.

    Serves 6.
