  • 2 (No. 2) cans or 1 qt. green beans, drained
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 onion, chopped (purple)

Directions

    Fry bacon until crisp; take out of skillet and drain.

    Add sugar and vinegar to bacon grease.

    Cook until sugar is dissolved. Add green beans and bacon, crumbled.

    Simmer 20 minutes.

    Add onion.
