  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. honey or brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. iodized salt
  • 2 c. peeled apple slices or 3 medium apples, cored, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional)
