Seared Sea Scallops

- 1 lb sea scallops, rinsed and pat dry
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
Directions

1Heat the olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.

2Salt and pepper both sides of the scallops and place them in the pan. Whatever you do, do not move the scallops at all until ready to flip.

3Sear the scallops on each side for 1.5 minutes, then remove from the pan and serve.
