  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 3/4 c. 7-Up
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Cream sugar and butter together until fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time to creamed mixture.

    Add flour, one cup at a time to creamed mixture, alternating 7-Up and adding the last of flour. Add in vanilla extract.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
