  • 3 lb. large peeled shrimp
  • 1 small bell pepper, seeded and cut into large pieces
  • 1/2 c. celery, coarsely chopped
  • 2 large onions, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium potato, peeled and quartered
  • 1 egg
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. flour
  • salt and pepper

    Grind first 6 ingredients and mix together with egg, mixing well.

    Form balls

    using a heaping spoonful of

    this mixture. Roll in seasoned flour and fry in about 2-inches of hot oil until golden brown.

    I like to use a cast-iron skillet.
