Ingredients

  • 1 c. sliced onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Tabasco
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • 1 (No. 2) can English peas, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 c. boiled shrimp (if chopped) or 1 lb. (if whole)

Directions

    Blend flour, salt, sugar, chili powder and Tabasco.

    Brown onion and celery in oil slowly.

    Add the blended ingredients to onions and celery.

    Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring often.

    Add tomatoes, peas, vinegar and shrimp.
