- thinly sliced onions
- 7/8 c. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. salad oil
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Directions

1Shred cabbage (medium size) alternating it with thinly sliced onions.

2Top with 7/8 cup sugar.

3Bring remaining ingredients to boiling point.

4Pour over cabbage while still hot.

5Let stand 4 to 6 hours, then mix and serve.

6It is even better after 2 or 3 days. It will keep for 2 or 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
