  • 6 tea bags
  • 4 c. boiling water
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 6 whole allspice
  • 1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick, broken
  • 1 qt. cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle dry red wine

    Steep tea bags in boiling water 5 minutes.

    Discard bags.

    Put tea in slow cooker. Wrap all spices in spice ball (cheesecloth) and add to tea.

    Stir in sugar and cranberry juice.

    Cover cooker and cook on high for 1 hour.

    Add wine and cook on low for 4 to 8 hours.
