Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. deer stew meat
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. Kitchen Bouquet (optional)

Directions

    Cut stew meat into small pieces and brown in cooking oil. Remove meat and saute onion and garlic in the oil.

    When onion is tender, put the meat back into oil with onion and garlic.

    Add flour and toss until blended.

    Salt and pepper to taste.

    Lower heat and slowly add water until sauce is not too thick.

    Add Kitchen Bouquet to darken and simmer on low flame until meat is tender, about 1 hour.
