- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
Directions

1Mix together butter and shortening.

2Beat in 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs and vanilla.

3Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

4Blend into creamed mixture.

5Shape rounded teaspoons of dough into small balls.

6Combine 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in sugar/cinnamon mixture.

7Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

8(Be careful, they burn easily!!) Remove from baking sheet; cool on racks.

9Makes approximately 6 dozen.
