- 3 egg whites (room temperature)
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar or 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. smallest size semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1In mixer bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.

2Add cream of tartar and vanilla; beat until stiff peaks form.

3Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating after each addition.

4Fold in chocolate chips.

5Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased foil-lined cookie sheets and bake in preheated 250° oven for 25 minutes.

6Turn off oven and leave cookies 30 minutes more. Outsides will be hard; insides will be slightly soft.
