Soda Cracker Pie

   Beat egg whites until thick; add baking powder and sugar gradually.

   Continue beating

   until stiff.

   Fold in crumbled crackers, nuts and vanilla.

   Bake in a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish for 25 to 30 minutes at 325° until toothpick inserted comes out dry.

   Cover with whipped cream 1 hour and 30 minutes before serving.

   Or, this can be frozen with or without the topping and keeps very well.
