  • 2-1/4 qt. Yellow cornmeal
  • 1 gal. water, divided
  • 2 qt. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 cups OSCAR MAYER Perfect Pour Bacon Bits
  • 1 qt. VELVEETA Pasteurized Process Cheese Spread - Feather Shred
  • 1-1/2 cups green onions, sliced

Directions

    Mix cornmeal and 1/2 of the water.

    Place remaining water and milk in large saucepan.

    Bring to boil.

    Gradually add cornmeal mixture, stirring with wire whisk until well blended.

    Stir in salt.

    Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until mixture is very thick and begins to pull away from side of pan, stirring constantly.

    Add bacon bits, process cheese spread and onions; mix well.

    Transfer to full (2-inch) hotel pan (or 1/6 hotel pan for trial recipe).

    Hold, covered, on steam table up to 1 hour.
