- 2 Tbsp. lukewarm water
- 1 1/3 c. warm water
- 5 c. flour
- sesame seed
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- coarse kosher salt
- baking soda
Directions

1Preheat oven to 475°.

2In a large bowl, mix lukewarm water and yeast until the yeast dissolves.

3Stir in the warm water and brown sugar.

4Slowly add the flour, stirring until the mixture is smooth and does not stick.

5Knead on a lightly floured board until it is stretchy and smooth.

6Grease 2 cookie sheets and sprinkle with salt or seed.

7Pinch off a piece of dough about golf ball size. Roll into a rope about 14 inches long.

8Make into a pretzel shape and press ends into dough.

9Fill deep frying pan with water.

10To each cup of water, add 1 tablespoon of baking soda.

11Bring water to a gentle boil.

12Use a spatula to dip each pretzel into pan for 30 seconds.

13Lift onto cookie sheet and sprinkle with more salt and seed.

14Bake 8 minutes or until golden brown.
