- 1 c. butter
- 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each.

3Add sour cream.

4Add 1 cup flour.

5Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture.

6Add remaining flour, salt, soda and vanilla.

7Bake in 4 layers for 25 minutes at 350° or in a tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
