  • 6 pork chops or steaks, lightly salted to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes, stewed and chopped
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Brown meat and drain. Put in roasting pan and cover with all remaining ingredients. Bake slowly at 350° until the meat is very tender (coming off the bone). Check often and do not let these cook dry. You may have to add another 1/2 cup water if needed for sauce.
