- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck (ground turkey or ground venison make good sauce)
- 2 (15 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 2 small cans mushroom slices or pieces
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce (Italian style)
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. garlic powder or granulated garlic
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. oregano
Directions

1Brown ground chuck and drain well.

2In a separate pan, saute onion; add green pepper, followed by sliced mushrooms.

3In a large saucepan, combine stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic and oregano.

4To sauce, add drained beef, onions, peppers and mushrooms.

5Stir well and simmer for 1 to 2 hours.

6Serve with pasta and garlic bread.
