- 2 c. onions, chopped
- 2 c. canned tomatoes, crushed
- 2 c. okra
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cook onions in as little water as possible.

2Add tomatoes and continue heating until they boil, then add okra and again continue cooking until okra is done, about 10 minutes.

3Stir with a spoon, vertically, so that onions stay on bottom.

4When the okra is done, add sugar and salt and mix thoroughly.

5Warmed over Spanish okra is just as good, if not better than the first time.
