- 6 c. vinegar
- 8 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. cloves, head removed
- 1 (3-inch) stick cinnamon
Directions

1Boil vinegar, brown sugar, cloves and cinnamon.

2Peel, cut into slices, core and add 8 pounds winter pears (Kieffer).

3Boil them until they are tender.

4Place them in jars; cover them with syrup and seal the jars.

5If using Seckel pears, leave the stems on. Peel the pears and follow the recipe.
