- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. green pepper
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (16 oz.) container sour cream
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 or 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1About 45 minutes before serving over medium heat, in a 12-inch skillet, cook beef, onion and green peppers (1/2 cup) until meat is browned, about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

2Drain tomato liquid into meat mixture, cut tomatoes into bite sized pieces and set aside.

3Add macaroni, sugar, chili powder, salt and 1 cup water; heat to boiling.

4Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes until macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally.

5Stir in sour cream; sprinkle on reserved green peppers and tomatoes. Cook until heated through.

6Makes 7 servings.
