  • 12 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can vegetarian baked beans
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
  • 12 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)

Directions

    Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat until shimmering.

    Saute onions in oil until soft and translucent, 3-5 minutes.

    Add beans, ketchup, mustard, worcestershire sauce, ground mustard and brown sugar, if using.

    Bring to a simmer and cook 10 minutes, stirring often.
