Spinach Dip

  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen spinach, chopped, cooked and drained
  • 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • 3 drops Tabasco
  • 1 1/2 rolls garlic cheese, sliced
  • 1 c. chopped mushrooms
  • 1 (2 1/4 oz.) pkg. slivered almonds

Directions

    Melt margarine; add onion and cook until clear.

    Add spinach. Stir in soup and seasonings.

    Pour 1/2 mixture into greased 2-quart casserole.

    Top with layer of cheese, then mushrooms and almonds.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

    Stir well; refrigerate when cool.

    Reheat for party.

    Serve with Melba rounds.
