- 2 lb. fresh yellow squash, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 1 c. cracker crumbs
- 1/3 c. slivered almonds
Directions

1In saucepan, just cover squash and onion with water.

2Cook until tender and drain.

3Mix with cheese, eggs, sugar, salt and pepper.

4Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

5Blend butter, crumbs and almonds and sprinkle on squash.

6Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until done.
