Squash Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 lb. squash
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. onions, chopped
- 1/4 c. bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped or water chestnuts
- 1/2 c. grated cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cook squash. Drain and mash. Add all ingredients (except margarine and cracker crumbs).

2Place in 2-quart casserole, greased.

3Top with crumbs and dot with margarine.

4Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. (Suitable for freezing.)

5Serves 6 to 8.
