  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup canned fruit, not drained
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 12 cup chopped nuts

Directions

    Thoroughly mix the first 5 ingredients together until smooth, and then stir in the undrained canned fruit.

    Well butter an eight by eight inch square baking pan and sprinkle with the topping.

    Bake in a preheated 325 degree F oven for about 45-50 minutes, until well done.

    Remove from oven and cool, then slice into 2 inch squares and serve.
