Squash Casserole

  • 8 medium yellow squash
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions

    Cook squash in a small amount of boiling, salted water until squash is tender.

    Drain well and mash.

    Cook bacon until crisp. Drain well, reserving drippings, and crumble.

    Combine all ingredients, stirring well.

    Spoon into a lightly greased casserole dish (1-quart) and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
