Squash Casserole

  • 1 qt. squash
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. sweet milk
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. cracker crumbs

Directions

    Cook squash and onion together until tender; drain.

    Melt oleo in casserole dish; pour into drained squash and onions.

    Mix together egg, milk, salt and pepper.

    Add to squash.

    Add cracker crumbs, leaving enough to cover top.

    Bake in oven about 20 minutes or until brown.

    (You may add garlic salt and a little sage if you like.)
