- 1 lb. ground beef
- 6 small squash, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 c. milk
Directions

1Boil squash in water and salt for 8 minutes; drain.

2Cook beef and onion in oil and drain.

3Add crumbs, salt and pepper. Stir in butter and flour.

4Add milk; cook until bubbly.

5Add cheese.

6Stir until mixed.

7Put squash in bottom of buttered casserole.

8Top with meat mixture.

9Bake for 30 minutes at 350°.
