- 10 c. chopped squash
- 4 c. chopped onions
- 5 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. vinegar
- 5 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 large jar red pimentos, chopped
- 2 chopped peppers
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. turmeric
Directions

1Combine the squash, onions and salt together.

2Let stand overnight.

3Then drain.

4Add vinegar, sugar, cornstarch, pimentos, peppers, black pepper, nutmeg and turmeric.

5Simmer 30 to 40 minutes.

6(Do not boil.)

7Then seal in jars.
