Strawberry Pie

  • 1 pkg. strawberry jello
  • 1 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1 pt. vanilla ice cream
  • 1 (8-inch) pie shell, baked and cooled
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, sliced, thawed and drained

    Dissolve jello in hot water in a quart saucepan.

    Add ice cream by spoonfuls, stirring until melted.

    Chill until thickened, but not set (15 to 25 minutes).

    Fold in strawberries.

    Turn into the pie shell.

    Chill until firm, about 20 to 30 minutes.
