- 1 lb. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 egg yolks (save whites)
- 3/4 to 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add egg yolks and rest of ingredients (except pecans) and mix well.

3Press into 2 ungreased jelly-roll pans.

4Spread with egg whites, pouring off excess.

5Sprinkle with chopped pecans, pressing in slightly.

6Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.

7Cool slightly and cut into bars before completely cool. Remove from pans when cooled.

8These keep well in the refrigerator.
