Ingredients

  • about 1 qt. crab meat
  • 2 c. onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c. celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c. bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c. green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c. parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 block butter or margarine
  • 5 to 6 slices bread (day old is best)
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. liquid crab boil (less if you don't want it too hot)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • bread crumbs

    Cook onions in butter until clear.

    Do not brown.

    Add celery, bell pepper, garlic, green onions and parsley.

    Cook over low heat until vegetables are tender.
