Stuffed Peppers

  • 6 green peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 16 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 quart water, salted
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheese

Directions

    Cut off top of peppers, remove seeds and wash.

    Bring salted water to boil, add peppers and cook 5 minutes.

    Cook ground beef, garlic and onion in pan until onion is tender.

    Do not brown. Drain fat, add salt, rice and half of tomato sauce.

    Heat mixture, remove from heat and add cheese.
