Ingredients

  • 1 box large shells
  • 1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage or ground beef
  • 8 oz. cottage cheese or Ricotta cheese, drained
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 c. Romano or Parmesan cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 can spinach, drained and chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oregano to taste
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Swiss cheese
  • oregano

Directions

    Cook shells as instructed on box.

    After cooking, chill.

    Mix together sausage, cottage cheese, lemon juice, Romano cheese, egg, spinach, salt, pepper and oregano.

    Stuff shells with mixture. Top with tomato sauce, Mozzarella cheese, Swiss cheese and oregano.

    Bake 1/2 hour at 350° in a baking dish.
