Stuffin Good Pork Chops

  • 2 pork chops
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped celery
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 3/4 c. herb-seasoned croutons
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook onion and celery in margarine in medium size saucepan, until tender.

    Add water, bring to boil.

    Remove from heat and add croutons all at one time, tossing slightly until evenly moistened. Cut pocket in each chop from bone side.

    Fill with crouton mixture.

    Place stuffed chops, flat side down, in a shallow baking pan.

    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    Bake in oven at 350° for 1 hour or until chops are browned and tender.
