- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 3 egg whites
- 1/3 c. sugar
- dash of salt
Directions

1Moisten cornstarch in small amount of water.

2Stir in boiling water.

3Cool.

4Beat egg whites until stiff; add salt, then add sugar gradually.

5Beat in the cooked and cooled cornstarch until firm peaks form.

6Brown 10 minutes at 425°.

7Makes enough meringue for 2 pies.
