  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • 2 avocados, ripened
  • 1 lime
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, slivered
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • cheese slices, any kind

Directions

    Cut bread in half lengthwise. Scoop avocado out and mash well with a fork. Squeeze lime juice into avocado, mash a little more. Spread avocado on bread. Place sliced garlic here and there. Top with red onion, cheese and tomatoes. Bake at 400° for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted well. Serves 4.
