- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 to 6 yellow squash, sliced
- 1/2 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook onion and squash in small amount of water until tender. Remove from heat.

2Drain well.

3Mash with potato masher.

4Place in greased casserole.

5Cover with 1 cup grated American (or other) cheese and cracker crumbs.

6Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
