Sunflower Cheese Ball

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups lightly salted roasted sunflower kernels (divide into 1 cup and 1/2 cup)
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese (softened)
  • 3 oz. bleu cheese crumbled
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery (fine)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion (fine)
  • 2 Tbsp. sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp. instant chicken bouillon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 1 bag Nacho Cheese chips (triangular cut shapes like Doritos brand)

Directions

    Mix 1 cup sunflower kernels and next 7 ingredients.

    Shape into a ball.

    Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

    Unwrap and roll top side in remaining sunflower kernels.

    Place on a large plate.

    Using the chips, about 1 inch from the bottom of the cheese ball stick on flat edge of each chop into cheese ball so the point is sticking out.

    Continue around the cheese ball until it resembles a sunflower.

    Serve immediately.
