- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening (soft)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 c. warm water
- 6 c. flour (plus more)
Directions

1Dissolve the yeast in the 1/2 cup warm water.

2Using a mixer, make a batter of the sugar, shortening, salt, eggs, 1 3/4 cups warm water, 3 cups flour and yeast mixture.

3Using a spoon, add 3 cups more flour.

4Turn dough out on lightly floured table.

5Grease bowl and turn upside down over dough.

6Let rise 15 minutes.

7Knead until a soft dough, using around 1/2 to 1 cup flour.

8Let rise until double or a little more than double.

9Pinch off a piece, roll in a ball and place on greased cookie sheet to make buns.

10You can make any kind of rolls or cinnamon rolls with this dough.
