- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 2 lb. round steak, cut 1-inch thick
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 c. tomato (canned or fresh)
Directions

1Combine flour with salt and pepper and pound into meat.

2In preheated skillet at 325°, melt shortening.

3Brown meat on both sides.

4Add remaining ingredients.

5Reduce heat to 225°.

6Cook, uncovered, for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

7Serve with vegetable gravy. Makes 6 servings.
