- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 C. light sour cream
- 1 C. light cottage cheese
- 2 C. crushed tortilla chips
- 2 C. (8 oz.) shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Coat 2 1/2 quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.

3In large skillet, brown ground beef. Remove from heat.

4Drain any excess liquid.

5Add onion, garlic powder, taco seasoning and tomato sauce.

6Mix well.

7In medium bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese.

8Place half the crushed chips in bottom of prepared casserole dish.

9Add enough meat mixture to cover chips, then cover meat with half the sour cream mixture and sprinkle with half the shredded cheese.

10Repeat layers.

11Bake in preheated oven 30 to 35 minutes until cheese melts and casserole is heated through.
